After receiving numerous complaints and concerns about the BTD proposed changes to Boylston Street, City Councilor Ed Flynn has organized a listening session. See his letter below:

Dear Civic Leaders, neighbors, and business leaders,

Over the past few weeks, many of you have written to me about your concerns with regard to Boston Transportation Department’s planned changes on Boylston Street and related issues in the Back Bay.

I remain opposed to this plan, which would also eliminate 95 parking spots. With businesses still in desperate need of foot traffic, a study indicating that remote work and falling commercial property values could potentially cost the City $500 million in revenue annually, and a proposal to tax commercial business at a higher rate – we should not be making it more difficult for residents and people across Greater Boston to shop, dine and do business in the City.

I am hosting a listening session this Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm to gather your feedback on this matter.

Please share and circulate this with your members, neighbors, families, and businesses who may be impacted by this change. I have attached a pdf and jpg flyer below.

You can register for the zoom session here:

    Thank you,

    ED
