Colorado-Based Restaurant Group Plans to Replace Seaport Steakhouse

A Colorado-based restaurant group may be replacing its Seaport District steakhouse with another steakhouse.

According to a licensing board hearing page , Eddie Merlot’s at 505 Congress St is planning to transition into Sullivan’s Steakhouse . Both chains are part of Dividend Restaurant Group .

Eddie Merlot’s opened in Boston in 2021, following failed plans to launch at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel on Summer St, according to Boston Restaurant Talk .

Though it operates 15 locations, Sullivan’s Steakhouse currently lacks a presence in the Northeast, with the nearest sites situated in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The upscale eatery offers lunch and dinner with a menu featuring classic steakhouse fare. Expect a variety of bone-in cuts and house-cut steaks, as well as elevated dishes like broiled lobster tail, ahi tuna steak, and herb-brick chicken.

Dividend Restaurant Group co-founder and CEO Nishant Machado was not immediately available for comment, so stay tuned for further details as Sullivan’s Steakhouse plans its Massachusetts debut.
