They played. They conquered. They hopped on the duck boats to celebrate their NBA title.

    • Boston pulled out all the stops Friday to celebrate the Celtics' 18th NBA title with a downtown parade.

    • Here are the highlights:

The Celtics didn't waste any time celebrating after defeating the Dallas Mavericks Monday night, hopping on a plane to Miami within hours of Game 5.

    • "You guys have been on a lot of hard-fought trips to Miami," Celtics TV analyst Brian Scalabrine said, in a pre-parade interview with the team. "Was this one a little sweeter?"
    • "They're always easy," Tatum said.

It's not a Boston parade without some overzealous Boston fans climbing traffic light poles and trucks.

    • These bros hopped on top of the Copley Square bus stop awning to get a better look at the duck boats.

Shoutout to this Celts fan who recreated the championship trophy:

Jaylen Brown, the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP, carried his trophy during the parade.

    • He also took a break to spin the ball on his finger.
    • At one point, he did it as he stood next to Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca.
