DFCI trustee Phyllis Krock hosted the dinner, which recognized the major donors to the institute's Palm Beach Annual Appeal and The Dana-Farber Campaign.

The intimate evening included a cocktail reception and a thank-you from Dr. Laurie H. Glimcher, president and CEO of Dana-Farber.

Dr. Craig Bunnell, the institute's chief medical officer, spoke about the Institute’s vision for the future of cancer care, which includes a proposed new adult inpatient hospital in Boston, dedicated exclusively to the needs of cancer patients, to be owned and operated by DFCI, and a clinical collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

The night continued with dinner, dessert and music.

More than 90 people attended, including Vicki and Arthur Loring, Judy and James Harpel, Terri Sriberg and Donald Ephraim, Amy and Ron Kochman, Barbara and Jerrold Lavine, Patty and Greg Bartoli, Cynthia Berenson, Sandra Bornstein, Ellen and Stephen Fine, Peggy and Arthur Grodd, Sarah Salter Levy and Steven Levy, Paula and Joseph McNay, Ann Rosenberg, Robin and Irvin Saltzman, Beth and Eric Schlager, Robert Schlager, Lydia Schoenfeld and Marla Doll, Terri Sriberg and Donald Ephraim, Nassrine Traverse, Roberta Weiner, and Elaine and Howard Weiss.

Proceeds are earmarked for The Dana-Farber Campaign, the institute’s ongoing multi-year fundraising effort to prevent, treat, and defy cancer by accelerating revolutionary science, extraordinary care, exceptional expertise, and essential opportunities.

To date, the Palm Beach community has contributed more than $85 million to The Dana-Farber Campaign.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a federally designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is among the world's leading centers of cancer research and treatment.

It cares for adults through the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center and for children through the Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
