After losing Alina Muller, Maureen Murphy, and Chloe Aurard to the pros after last season, this year it's the graduation of captain Megan Carter and All-American netminder Gwyneth Philips.

Northeastern is bringing in a strong class of recruits this season and they've got more on the way in 2025-2026, especially with Stryker Zablocki on the horizon.

    Here's a look at Northeastern's 2023-2024 NCAA women's hockey recruiting class.

Lisa Jonsson, 2004, Sweden - It's not a long list of goaltenders that step into the NCAA as rookies each year and start, but Lisa Jonsson could steal that role with the Northeastern Huskies immediately. The 5-foot-11 netminder is a former member of Sweden's U-18 national team and had a solid season last year with MoDo in Sweden.

Tuva Kandell, 2004, Sweden - Joining Jonsson from Sweden is Frolunda defender Tuva Kandell. Kandell was named the Best Defender at the 2022 U-18 World Championships and put together a solid season playing with some of Europe's top pros in Frolunda last season. She loves to jump into the offense, and uses her mobility to her advantage.

Tristan Thompson, 2006, Canada - There are unique players in every sport, and Tristan Thompson is a unique defender. She's a towering 6-foot-1, and moves well for her size. Offensively Thompson can contribute, and makes wise puck decisions. She's also a leader off the ice, a trait that will be valued with the Huskies. She joins from a strong Etobicoke Dolphins team.

Morgan Jackson, 2006, Canada - In terms of filling the lost offensive production of recent Northeastern graduates, Morgan Jackson is the best recruit they have. Jackson was a two-time member of Canada's U-18 national team, last year scoring nine points in six games for Canada at the tournament. With Shawnigan Lake School, Jackson had 61 games in only 23 games this season.
