Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers is having one of the best seasons of his career in 2024.

His .295 batting average, .977 OPS, 23 home runs and 61 RBIs earned the 27-year-old his third All-Star appearance in eight years.

One reason that Devers hasn't made it more than thrice or started more than twice has been the impressive play of his peers, such as Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez, who's a six-time All-Star.

Ramirez has been one of the best t the position over his 12 years in the MLB, but he's still amazed by some of the things that Devers can do on the diamond.

“It’s incredible,” Ramírez told reporters through an interpreter (via. The Boston Globe ). “As a hitter, I have to confess sometimes I don’t know how he gets to some of those pitches.”

Devers recently wowed players, managers and fans alike when he pulled a pitch a foot off the plate for a 423-foot home run against the New York Yankees

While Devers won't be playing in this year's All-Star Game due to an injury, he's still proved himself as the face of the team, and players around the league are in awe just watching him do his job.
