Cal Quantrill's Disturbingly Accurate Message That Fueled Red Sox-Rockies Incident Revealed

Rockies pitcher Cal Quantrill and Red Sox catcher Reese McGuire were at the center of a bench-clearing episode on Wednesday after the Colorado right-hander launched a verbal grenade at the seven-year veteran.

"You [expletive] off in a [expletive] parking lot, you dumb [expletive]," shouted Quantrill after getting McGuire to fly out to center field to end the top of the fourth inning. Both benches cleared immediately, in an attempt to separate the two players.

On Feb. 7, 2020 , McGuire was arrested in Dunedin, Florida, on a charge of first-degree misdemeanor exposure of sexual organs after officers caught him pleasuring himself in a strip mall parking lot. When officers asked why he was in a parking lot, McGuire said , "It just seemed like a good place."

He later pleaded no contest to a second-degree misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and paid a $500 fine.
