New Red Sox catcher debuts in lineup for finale vs. Yankees

After the Boston Red Sox lost to the New York Yankees 11-8 on Saturday at Fenway Park, the two teams will meet for the series finale with the winner taking the set.

For the matchup, Boston will send Tanner Houck to the mound, while New York will counter with Carlos Rodon.

Houck has been great for Boston in his 20 starts this season, posting a 2.71 ERA (sixth in baseball) and a 1.09 WHIP (tied for 23rd) while striking out 114 (tied for 34th). He's only allowed hits to three Yankees - Aaron Judge (3-for-10 with two walks), Gleyber Torres (6-for-21 with one home run, two RBIs and a walk) and Anthony Volpe (1-for-5 with an RBI and three walks).

Rodon has been solid for New York, recording a 4.42 ERA and 1.24 WHIP and striking out 122 batters in 21 starts. He's allowed hits to eight Red Sox - Devers (3-for-10 with two RBIs and a walk), Duran (1-for-3), McGuire (1-for-2), O'Neill (2-for-3 with an RBI), Rafaela (2-for-5 with a solo home run), Refsnyder (3-for-9 with three walks), Jamie Westbrook (1-for-3 with an RBI) and Wong (1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk).
