Red Sox DFA one reliever, activate recently acquired Yohan Ramirez

As the Boston Red Sox have added a number of players in recent days, they've had to make corresponding moves to make room on the roster.

Before Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners, Boston designated right-handed reliever Trey Wingenter for assignment and activated right-handed reliever Yohan Ramirez (via. MassLive's Chris Cotillo ).

Wingenter, 30, was just recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Monday. He allowed four runs on three hits and a walk in his 1 1/3 inning of work, bringing his ERA with the Red Sox to 27.00 in his two appearances.

Boston claimed Ramirez , 29, off of waivers after he was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Dodgers. This year, he's posted a 5.98 ERA (4.18 FIP) and a 1.466 WHIP while striking out 27 batters.

The Red Sox have a completely revamped bullpen that now includes Ramirez, Brennan Bernardino, Cam Booser, Cooper Criswell, Bailey Horn, Zack Kelly, Josh Winchowski and Kenley Jansen.

Chris Martin and Justin Slaten will likely kick two of them out when they're healthy.
