Boston Red Sox All-Star third baseman Rafael Devers has been going on a tear this season, and his stats back that up. The Sox’s franchise player has been hitting .306, with an on base percentage (OBP) of .384, and slugging percentage of .606.

The big slugger also has 69 RBIs and 24 home runs, leading his team in both stats. He’s always been the top dog when it comes to these two stats, or at least in the top three.

Even with these stats, Devers is not talked about nearly enough as a player. Devers’ has been selected to be an All-Star three times, and he has only started once. This past All-Star game, Devers had to sit out with an injury, and his teammate Jarren Duran stole the show, winning the All-Star Game MVP.

If Devers had gotten to play, he might have done something to get considered for MVP as well, or maybe have even taken part in the Home Run Derby.

The Sox just re-signed Devers in 2023, for 10 years and 313.5 million dollars. This means this production is here to stay, and if the Sox can build another great team around him, a possible second ring is in Devers’ future.
