Not every animal lover can have a pet at home. Sometimes, it's impossible, whether because of a family member's allergies, frequent travel, or rental restrictions. However, not being able to have a furry companion doesn't mean that receiving love from a four-legged friend isn't enjoyable.

If you live in or plan to travel to Boston, you can get your kitty fix while grabbing your morning coffee or lunch. While these rescues are unavailable for adoption, they are free to pet.

Check out this sensational cat sanctuary cafe in a video from July 16:

What a wonderful spot to begin your day or enjoy a book in the afternoon. Chloe (@ bostonbychloe ) introduces us to A Sanctuary Cafe , a delightful addition to the Beacon Hill neighborhood in Boston, especially for animal lovers. Here, you’ll encounter rescued cats from local shelters living their best lives. Although these happy felines are not permitted in the food preparation areas, visitors will soon be able to bring their food and drinks to the areas where these residents spend their time. As these cats have been recently rescued, they are still acclimating to their new homes but will soon welcome patrons into their new world designed just for them. For now, even if you’re walking by, you can catch a glimpse of these cheerful kitties playing and relaxing, which can brighten any day.

Boston's New Cat Sanctuary Cafe Supports the Local Community

This community-driven cafe is a coffee bar, cat lounge, and bookstore. According to their website, “All net profits will go to two affiliated nonprofits, one focused on targeted donations of diverse, interesting and appropriately leveled books to Boston Public School students, the other focused on initiatives that support Boston’s community cat population (and the humans who support them).” They also support the local community by purchasing coffee beans and loose-leaf tea from other businesses in the area. Even their pastries come from some of Boston’s most beloved bakeries.

People were happy to hear this highly anticipated location had opened its doors. Viewer @adineacalixto responded, “Next stop for a coffee... it makes us cat lovers so happy to see a place like that in Boston finally.” It also allows strays to have a home of their own. Viewer @lioness_of_judah remarked, “This is nice! There’s always a place for dog owners to go, but not cats. I’ll take a trip to Boston to visit.” It’s a terrific reason to go! Viewer @addsomeveg shared, “My daughter keeps asking when we can see the cats! We are moving to Boston from the UK and had to leave our 15-year-old cat with friends, breaking our hearts. We can’t wait to meet the cats here; she’s desperate to cuddle a cat again!” It’s a terrific opportunity to capture some feline love.

If you love cats and plan a trip to Bean Town, add this stop to your itinerary. It’s a perfect spot to unwind and recharge after a day in the city.
