"Footloose" and "X-Men" star Kevin Bacon took to social media on Friday with a commemorative margarita befitting the gymnastics G.O.A.T. — short for "Greatest of All Time" — Simone Biles. The cocktail paid tribute to Biles' gold medal win at the women's artistic gymnastics all-around finals, at which she showed off a literal goat necklace to her adoring fans. In a video posted to X, Bacon poured a hefty splash of
Siete Leguas Tequila Blanco without pausing to measure portions. Next came plenty of lime, chili powder (because Biles "is fire") and a dash of maple syrup. Grinning ear-to-ear, the actor teased a secret ingredient revealed to be a goat figurine placed atop an icy highball glass. A fantastic addition to the theme, but perhaps not the most practical garnish; the toy tumbled to the ground as soon as Bacon took a sip.
"And I call this drink the Iced Out Goat... congratulations Simone," Bacon remarked.
In a caption, the "Friday the 13th" star toasted the entire women's gymnastic team while declaring his concoction "a drink fit for a GOAT." Those who have been following along with the Olympics will immediately spot the reference. Biles' sparkling goat necklace, first seen after her win on August 1, was reportedly created in under five weeks by Los Angeles-based
Janet Heller Fine Jewelry . The meticulously detailed statement piece contains 546 hand-drilled and hand-set diamonds. In other words, not the kind of goat you'd want falling to the ground after one too many cocktails. She's left the door open to competing at the Los Angeles Games in 2028, presenting yet another opportunity for bling and celebratory cocktails down the road.
"I've accomplished way more than in my wildest dreams. Not just at this Olympics, but in the sport," Biles said in a press conference . "A couple years ago, I didn't think I'd be back here at an Olympic Games. So competing and then walking away with four medals... I'm not mad about it. I'm pretty proud of myself."
