NFL Player Charles Woodson Teams Up With the Raiders for a 65th Anniversary Limited Edition Whiskey

Woodson Whiskey, a brand owned by NFL star Charles Woodson, announced on Wednesday the release of a limited-edition bourbon as part of a collaboration with the Las Vegas Raiders celebrating 65 years of Raider Nation. The bottle of Kentucky bourbon hosts a suggested retail price of $49.99 and features an illustration by the painter Pedro Plasencia of the NFL player throwing up his iconic "O." The gesture is meant to celebrate the city of Oakland, where Woodson started and ended his 18-season career.

"Throwing up the 'O' is not just a gesture... it's a tribute to the spirit of the Raiders and a symbol of my career with the Silver and Black," Woodson explained in a news release. "It's a storied piece of the 65 year legacy that defines what it means to be a Raider. The bottle is not just a bourbon; it's a celebration of  Raider Nation and all that it stands for."

Woodson Whiskey shared that its Raiders 65th Anniversary Commemorative Bottle spent 2 years aging in charred oak barrels and features a richly complex profile and the brand cites aromas of "caramel, vanilla and spice" on the pour. Charles Woodson, a former cornerback/safety and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, signed a deal for Woodson Whiskey become the official bourbon of the Raiders in August 2023 . The historic deal marked the first time a pro football player's bourbon brand became the official bourbon brand of a football team.

"I used to say that Woodson Bourbon Whiskey was the official bourbon of Raider Nation but now I can say it with my chest," Woodson gushed. "Woodson Bourbon Whiskey is the official bourbon whiskey of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium."
