    Mental evaluations ordered for couple at center of animal hoarding case

    Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A couple being held in a severe case of animal hoarding will both undergo psychiatric evaluations before the case moves forward.

    In court on Thursday, a judge revoked bail for Carolyn Luke and Timothy Miller and ordered them to undergo psychiatric testing.

    The couple was arrested last week in Boulder City after police received a tip that the pair were animal hoarders.

    Inside the car were dozens of guinea pigs and rabbits, several of whom were dead.

    In addition to the vehicle, more animals were found in deplorable conditions inside the couple’s home, as well as at a hotel. About one third of the animals in their care had died.

    Luke and Miller have their next scheduled court appearance set for Thursday, April 18 th .
