Deion Sanders Gets Some R&R While Yachting In Biscayne Bay Before Gearing Up for College Football Season

As Deion Sanders gears up for his second season as head football coach at the University of Colorado, this month he has been taking some time to relax with family and friends on a yacht and cruises along Biscayne Bay in South Florida.

Sanders, also known as Coach Prime , recently shared his Fourth of July yacht excursion with the YouTube channel Well Off Media. The channel is owned and run by his son Deion “Bucky” Sanders Jr. and features videos on Sanders and his children. The channel currently has a video in which Sanders shares how he learned the power of relaxing amidst hard work.

“God told me to start living,” Sanders said. “It ain’t got nothing to do with the financial aspect of your life, it has nothing to do with your location. It has nothing to do with a lot of the things you think it may. Just start living.”

Sanders, who is worth a reported $45 million, gave vlog viewers a tour of the yacht — which included several sleeping cabins, a sauna and bathrooms below deck, a full chef’s kitchen, dining area, and entertainment spaces throughout. The extended sun deck also includes a covered hot tub.

Getting Ready for Football Season

Sanders and the Buffaloes are now getting ready for the upcoming season. As a member of the Big 12, this week Sanders is attending the Big 12 Media Days in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium for a preview of the college football season. University of Colorado’s first game is slated for Aug. 29 against North Dakota State.

Sanders is hoping for a stronger season This year. In his first season as coach, the team won four out of eight games in 2023. While it was a marked improvement from the 2022 season — the team only won one game out of 12 — it was not enough to be eligible for a bowl game. With Sanders’ son Shedeur as quarterback and Travis Hunter displaying his skills as a cornerback and wide receiver, along with 40 new players arriving from the transfer portal, there is hope that the Colorado Buffaloes will earn bowl eligibility in the 2024 season.

However, the team is presented with several growing pains. According to CBS Sports, an estimated 61 percent of its 2023 scholarship players — whether directly from high school or transfer portal — are no longer with the team. Sanders also has a completely new offensive line. But with five-star tackle Jordan Seaton, this might prove to be a strength for the team.
