The Boulder Police Department has launched an investigation after a woman's body was found wrapped in multiple layers on an "unusual" bike trailer on the evening of July 14.

The bike trailer was located on the 1800 block of Goss Street, which is located just north of the University of Colorado Boulder campus and Folsom Field – about half a mile north of the stadium.

Authorities noted that the bike trailer had been in the same spot for several days, with the woman whose body was found believed to be unhoused at the time she died. The woman was identified on Tuesday, though that identity has not been publicly released.

Detectives are currently in the process of identifying and speaking to witnesses. Information related to the woman's cause-of-death has not been released, though authorities are calling her death "suspicious" in nature.

Anyone with information that may help the case should contact Detective Byars at 303-441-1970, referencing case number 24-6910.

Condolences go out to those impacted by this woman's death.
