Colorado head coach Deion Sanders could be perfect fit for USC moving forward

The pressure is about to get ratcheted up on USC head coach Lincoln Riley in 2024 following a regression that saw the Trojans go from 11-3 in his first season in 2022 to 8-5 in 2023.

That’s always going to lead to speculation about who the next USC coach could be, with one of the names being thrown about being current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, who improved the Buffaloes from 1-11 in 2022 to 4-8 in his first season in 2023.

On the Gojo and Golic Show , hosts Mike Golic and Mike Golic Jr. went over the speculation about Sanders’ future … mainly throwing water on the fire, pointing out that Deion Sanders doesn’t even do in-home recruiting visits and after 2023 both of his sons, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Colorado safety Shilo Sanders, will be gone.

"Wherever (Sanders) is, you're going to have a spotlight, but at the end of the day, it has to turn into wins and loses,” Mike Golic said. “He's been in Colorado for one year and started great. The world went wild. But will Deion stay at a program he will have a problem building?"
