The proposal of West Kootenay Power and Light Company to double the capacity of its two plants at Bonnington Falls, B.C. by the construction of a dam at Granite to raise the waters of Kootenay Lake approximately six feet has brought out opposition in at least two quarters. The Kootenai Valley Commercial Club recently passed a resolution protesting against the erection of a small dam, on the grounds that it will interfere with the drainage of the river bottom lands in Boundary County.

County passes SOS primary election audit
BONNERS FERRY — A June 2 state audit of the primary election, which included Boundary County, found no errors, according to Idaho Secretary of State officials. The county and four of its voting precincts were selected for the audit, which was drawn by random by the Board of Canvassers in the Idaho State Capitol Building.
Boundary County to Open ISDA Watercraft Inspection Station
BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Soil Conservation District is set to open an watercraft inspection station in Bonners Ferry. Starting June 12, the Idaho State Department of Agriculture station will serve as a critical checkpoint to prevent the spread of invasive species into local waterways, officials said. The station will be located off of Ash and Arizona streets.
