DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines woman waskilled in a car crash over the weekend, sparking a wave of community support for her family. The family of 47-year-old Maria Rodriguez says she was taking her sons to a birthday party when another vehicle hit her head-on, killing her and injuring the passengers in her vehicle.
