Plum School District settles discrimination claim with job applicant for $5K
The Plum School District will revise its application process as part of an agreement settling a discrimination allegation. The district agreed to pay Eile Demkee $5,000 to resolve Demkee’s claims. That amount, inclusive of attorney’s fees and costs, will be paid by the district and/or its insurance carrier.

Aqua seeks rate increases; public hearings set before regulators
HARRISBURG – Water bills could be on the rise in the Shenandoah area, among other parts of the state next year, and regulators want your input. Aqua Pennsylvania filed an application in May seeking a rate increase from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. West Nile Virus detected in more area communities
The Allegheny County Health Department says mosquito samples collected around the area have tested positive for West Nile Virus. The areas include Allegheny Commons, Fineview, Garfield, Perry South, Morningside and the Hill District.
