Massachusetts police warn of scheme being used to steal packages being delivered to homes
Porch pirates are nothing new in Massachusetts, however, their tactics have changed to become a little more sophisticated. The Westminster Police Department recently took reports of thefts of delivered packages from FedEx and Amazon. While it used to have the company of a few other states, Massachusetts is now the only U.S. state with a full ban on consumer fireworks. In the Bay State, private citizens cannot possess, sell or use fireworks of any kind, including sparklers and firecrackers. 30 new condos part of big housing project in Rochester
ROCHESTER — Thirty condominiums in five new buildings may soon be added at 86 Church St., where plans also call for upgrading 12 existing apartments into condos. The city Planning Board on Monday night voted to advance the project, which will total 42 condo units, according to Scott Lawler of Norway Plains in Rochester, the engineer for the project. The development is being proposed by Stabile Companies of Nashua.
