BOWDEN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The West Virginia State Police Elkins Detachment is asking for the public’s help investigating multiple incidents that have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damage from destruction of property and vandalism in the Bowden area of Randolph County.

In a press release, state police said that the area near Revelle’s River Resort campground “has been plagued by this criminal activity starting back in September of 2023” which has “persisted with the latest damage occurring on June 12, 2024.”

12 News Reporter and Morning Anchor Makayla Schindler spoke with the owner of Revelle’s River Resort back in October 2023 about one of the acts of vandalism, when someone emptied transmission fluid, motor oil and other things into the resort’s well.
