CWEC linemen help with Navajo Nation project
Eland man among crew bringing electricity to Indigenous tribe. For the second year in a row, two linemen from Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative (CWEC) traveled to the Navajo Nation in Arizona to take part in the Light Up Navajo Project. Linemen Mack Yarbrough and Josh Wick spent a week in May working to bring electricity to residents of the Navajo Nation.
Domestic Dispute Causes Traffic Issues on Waldo Blvd.
A domestic situation caused some traffic issues on Waldo Boulevard. Manitowoc Police Officers were called to the area of the major thoroughfare just west of Rapids Road just before 4:30 Wednesday evening (July 17th) after a woman reported that her boyfriend had taken her keys, leaving her car stranded on the side of the road, blocking traffic.
Two Rivers Man Pleads No Contest in Meadowbrook Drive Shooting
A Two Rivers man who fired shots into a Manitowoc apartment complex late last year has pleaded. 18-year-old Gabriel Soto pleaded no contest to two counts of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety as a party to a crime along with theft of movable property, criminal damage to property, and intentionally selling a dangerous weapon to a child. Six other charges were dismissed but read into the record.

Howard Animal Control seeking the owner of a backpack found with a dead cat
HOWARD, Wis. (WBAY) - Howard Animal Control is looking for a person who left a backpack with a cat they say was intentionally killed. Officials say a kayaker found a backpack that is a small gray carrier-style bag with mesh sides, and say it was likely left between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Deerfield Docks.

Seven arrested, face drug charges in Brown County's largest seizure of powdered fentanyl
BELLEVUE — The Brown County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday it dismantled what it believes to be the largest distributor of fentanyl in the county. A six-month investigation that coordinated Brown County law enforcement with agencies reaching up to the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration led to the July 10 arrests of seven people associated with a drug-trafficking organization, with more arrests to follow. Those detained are expected to be charged next week on various counts of manufacturing, possessing, and distributing fentanyl, methamphetamines, THC, and cocaine.

AJ Dillon and Wife Launch Foundation to Combat Hunger in Northeast Wisconsin
LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — AJ Dillon, and his wife Gabrielle, launched ‘The Dillon Family Foundation’ to tackle hunger in our area. The couple partnered with Feeding America in order to help as many people as possible.
