The City of Folsom’s Summer of Music Series concludes its 2024 series presented by the Folsom Parks and Recreation District this Friday night. Pioneer Community Energy board votes to reduce rates during hot summer months
Pioneer Community Energy announced this week the approval of a mid-year rate reduction during the hot summer months. The vote by the Pioneer Board lowers rates for the summer by an average of 5 percent. Additionally, the rate adjustment is retroactive to July 1. Many Pioneer customers will receive a credit on their August bill to reflect the money-saving action.

70-year-old hiker reunited with family after 5 days missing in mountains
HOMEWOOD, Calif. (TMX) - A 70-year-old man was found alive and well Wednesday after being missing for five days in the Sierra Nevada mountains, officials said. Warren Elliott went missing on Friday, July 19, when he went for what he believed would be a short walk in an area he was familiar with, but a wrong turn sent him miles from his campsite in Rubicon Springs, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said.
