Gamecocks Take On College of Charleston
The South Carolina Gamecocks women's soccer team (1-0-0) is set to face the College of Charleston (3-0-0) at 7:00 p.m. in Stone Stadium for their second match of the 2024 season. After a strong opening with a 5-1 victory over Furman, which featured a hat trick from Katie Shea Collins, the team will be without Collins as she competes in the U-20 FIFA World Cup. Historically, the Gamecocks have an advantage over the Cougars, holding a 7-1-2 record in their matchups with six wins in the last seven meetings.

South Carolina football All-American gets shoutout in College GameDay song
College football is back...or, at least, week 0 is here, and fans can get their first taste of the sport while waiting on a much better slate next weekend. South Carolina football fans still have a week to wait before they can watch the Gamecocks, but one player on the roster got an interesting shoutout on Saturday morning's opening College GameDay.
4-star South Carolina football target announces college commitment
So far in the class of 2025, the South Carolina football program has one commitment on the offensive line. 4-star in-state prospect Shed Sarratt (a product of Gaffney High School in the Upstate) pledged his services to the Gamecocks early this summer, but as of now, there have been no other offensive linemen to join him in the class. Class of 2026 offensive line recruit Anthony Baxter is committed, however.
