Prattville names Fire Station Four after retiring Fire Chief Terry Brown
Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie announced Fire Chief Terry D. Brown’s retirement at the Prattville City Council meeting last Tuesday evening. Brown has served within the Prattville Fire Department for over 37 years, gaining his start on February 9th, 1987. Brown progressed through the ranks from a firefighter to a Sergeant Driver Operator in 1990, to Lieutenant in 1997, Captain in 2000, Division Chief and Fire Marshal in 2002, Deputy Fire Chief in 2007 and finally Fire Chief in 2011. Brown will serve out his time as Chief until his last official day Sept. 1 of this year.

Juvenile injured in Montgomery shooting
Montgomery police are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting in which a juvenile was injured. Police describe the injuries as not life-threatening. At about 2:45 p.m., police and fire medics went to the 2800 block of Atlanta Highway on a report of a shooting involving a juvenile male victim, said Maj.
