Prop 28: Art and Music K-12 Education Funding Initiative
School districts currently have significant flexibility on how to distribute their funding, and many administrators say that arts education is the first area to be cut when the budget is tight. This proposition will require a percentage of annual public education funding to go specifically to music and arts education.
Prop 27: Legalize Sports Betting and Revenue for Homelessness Prevention Fund Initiative
This is the second of two propositions related to sports gambling. This proposition aims to legalize online and mobile sports gambling. All sports gambling, both online and in person, is currently illegal in California. The proposition would establish a state-regulated online sports gambling platform in partnership with a gaming tribe or qualified gaming company and impose a 10% tax on gambling revenues and licensing fees. Eighty-five percent of the money from taxes and fees would go to the California Solutions to Homelessness and Mental Health Support Account, and the remaining 15% to the Tribal Economic Development Account. Gambling on youth sports would be prohibited and the proposition would create a Division of Online Sports Betting Control within the Department of Justice.

In 1885 Little Tokyo was settled by Hamanosuke Shigeta; before WWII it was the largest Japanese community in the U.S. It’s often seen as a little hub where people go to enjoy a piece of Japanese culture that has integrated itself in Los Angeles. It’s a place where people around the city can visit to explore Japanese history and food. The plaza is instantly recognizable with its unique architecture that isn’t seen anywhere else besides the Japanese Village Plaza with its bright red and white lanterns that welcome you upon arrival.
Prop 26: California Legalize Sports Betting on American Indian Lands Initiative
Sports gambling in California is currently illegal, but this proposition looks to change that. If passed, the proposition will legalize sports gambling at four horse racetracks and at all casinos on American Indian tribal lands. It will also allow tribal casinos to expand their gambling selection to roulette and dice games. The proposition legalizes betting on professional, college and amateur athletic events but excludes high school sports and California college teams. It would implement a 10% tax on all sports gambling activity, which would be used to fund treatment of gambling-related mental health issues, legal oversight of gambling, or go into the state’s general fund.
Prop 1: California Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment

Wade, California lawmakers approved adding a measure to the ballot that would amend the California Constitution to specifically codify the right to an abortion and the right to choose or refuse contraceptives.
