Proud Girl Scouts from Troop 20326 in Boynton Beach and their families paid a special tribute to veterans by placing flags on the graves.

It has become a yearly tradition on Memorial Day to remember the brave men and women who fought for the country.

Scouts and families gathered at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. After taps were played, the troop prepared the gravesites for the flags.

Rosalind Murray, team leader since 2010, says, “The Girl Scouts of Troop 20326 make a point to serve the community, from making burritos for the homeless, to creating toiletry bags for those in need, to supporting food drives. They strive to make Palm Beach County a better place for all.”

Troop 20326 meets from September to June at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Boynton Beach. It focuses on older scouts, from Junior Girl Scouts to Senior Scouts.
