Omahans who love popular music such as Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” or N’Sync’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” might know all the lyrics to their favorite song when it comes on the radio. Those attending tonight’s performance of Postmodern Jukebox at Astro Amphitheater will likely recognize the words being sung onstage, but may be surprised at hearing these tunes, which could range from 1920s jazz to 1960s doo-wop. Those melodies are the creativity of PMJ creator Scott Bradlee.
Storm Chasers drop second straight to Saints, 5-2
SAINT PAUL, MN – The Omaha Storm Chasers fell behind in the first inning and trailed the entire night, falling to the St. Paul Saints 5-2 at CHS Field Thursday. Renters would get some relief, too, under a pair of legislative proposals
LINCOLN — Nebraska renters would get some financial relief in the form of an income tax credit under a pair of proposals to be considered by the Legislature. State Sens. Terrell McKinney of North Omaha and Eliot Bostar of Lincoln each introduced a bill Thursday seeking to compensate renters who otherwise would not automatically reap any direct benefit from property tax reforms being pushed by Gov. Jim Pillen.
