It’s Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix time with events going on through August 4. Tonight is the Invitational Car Show on Walnut Street. Here you’ll see a really cool collection of hot and historic cars. Walnut Street will be closed, so you can get a good gander as you stroll past these vintage automobiles. Proposed Trade Ships Steelers Speedy $12 Million WR
As many pundits have this offseason, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox named the Pittsburgh Steelers a potential landing spot for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. But Knox also suggested the Steelers as a possible landing spot through a trade for another veteran wideout — New York Giants‘ Darius Slayton.
New Pa. law expands happy hours and drink specials at bars
A new law in Pennsylvania allows people 21 and older more time to take advantage of adult drinking specials. Governor Josh Shapiro signed into law this week an expanded happy hour bill that state lawmakers passed. The new law is also an opportunity for restaurants and bars to potentially attract more foot traffic, by increasing the number of hours licensed establishments in the state can host happy hours up to four hours a day and up to 24 hours a week. The new law also allows businesses to advertise discounted meals with adult drinks. The revised law will take effect 60 days from the time the governor signed it, in mid-September, just in time for football season.

Pennsylvania House Leader Wants Trump Shooting Investigated
A Pennsylvania Republican leader thinks the shooting at a Trump rally should be looked into. Pennsylvania House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler is introducing legislation to look into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, in Butler. House Resolution 501 would form a House Select Committee to investigate the actions and response of state and local law enforcement following the assassination attempt. The bipartisan committee would then produce a report on the incident no later than November 30th. Cutler says the committee will not be looking to assign blame, but rather it seeks to discover how law enforcement can better improve practices going forward.
Penn State raises their tuition for the 2025-2026 semester
Penn State announced that they will raise their in-state tuition by 2% at their University Park campus for the 2025-2026 semester. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $4.3 billion in grants to fund projects in 30 states to reduce climate pollution. The money will go to 25 projects targeting greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, electric power, commercial and residential buildings, industry, agriculture and waste and materials management. The grants are paid for by the 2022 climate law approved by congressional Democrats.
