How can they do this. This will cost bar owners a lot of profits..This isn’t going to fly. It doesn’t matter if there are bars or no bars there will be violence. Bars doesn’t have anything to do with it. Plus what citizens go to downtown after midnight. They all go downtown to do their business during the day..This is ludicrous..

So to summarize, the county is trying to curb violence after midnight revolving around alcohol by penalizing the Bar owners and making them get a permit to sell alcohol after midnight, but disregard the ones who enter said bars and a fight breaks out, it's now the bar owners fault? The bar owners get penalized because Scott and Jake can't handle their alcohol and start fighting? Heres a thought, how about instead, you get your bradenton cops to get off their ass' outside these bars and stop flirting with girls, shooting the shit with one another, and letting drug deals happen around the corner from them because it's "out of sight out of mind" and they'd rather just sit their, and watch drunk people laugh and wait for something really bad to happen before they even stand up. Nah, holding the police more accountable doesn't make sense right? Having the police presence out there isnt curbing enough violence because, why? Manatee county doesn't care as long as they get paid and have....
