Grocery stores are open after Hurricane Helene brought flooding and damage to parts of Manatee County as a major Category 4 storm on Thursday.

Lakeland-based Publix has 18 of its 19 stores in the area open with normal business hours.

Walmart doesn’t have any stores closed in the county, according to its store status map .

Meanwhile, popular local grocer Detwiler’s Farm Market said on Facebook that two stores are closed until power is restored.

Here’s a look at Manatee County grocery stores’ status on Friday:

    Publix

Only the Holmes Beach store, 3900 East Bay Dr., is not open. The two bridges, Cortez and Manatee Avenue, connecting Anna Maria Island to Bradenton remained closed Friday morning, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.

“We saw devastating damage along our beaches,” Public Safety Director Jodie Fiske said in a news release. “We had significant flooding across the county.”

Publix has a store status map showing five other stores with modified hours, but customer service associates at those stores told the Bradenton Herald they are open under regular hours.

    Detwiler’s

Two of Detwiler’s six stores in the Sarasota-Manatee county area are closed after Helene’s havoc. They are the West Bradenton unit, 3500 53rd Ave. W., and the University Park store, 6100 N Lockwood Ridge Rd.

The Palmetto store, 1800 U.S. 301, is open.

“At this time our Palmetto, Palmer, Venice, and Clark stores are open but our West Bradenton and University stores are currently closed until power is restored,” Detwiler’s said in a Facebook post. “We will update you when those stores are open for business. Thanks for your patience during this time!”
