Imagine stepping into the Bradenton Area Convention Center and being instantly transported to an 1880’s European train depot, complete with the hiss of steam and the sharp whistle of a train. This is the scene that greets you at the first annual European Holiday Market in Bradenton.

As you leave the depot, you’ll find yourself in a lively European village, perfectly recreating the festive atmosphere of a turn-of-the-century town during the holiday season. This December, experience this unique celebration without leaving the Gulf Coast.

Fully immerse yourself in holiday magic

Keenan Singleton, communications manager for the Bradenton Convention & Visitors Bureau, describes the market as a multi-sensory experience. “The sights, sounds, smells, and tastes create an abundance of delights that will make this first European Holiday Market a treat for visitors,” he says.

The market’s immersive experience is enhanced by video projections and detailed set designs that transform the space into a classic French or German village at Christmastime, featuring a custom mapping installation that melds old-world charm with cutting-edge technology.

Discover gifts that are truly one-of-a-kind

Local artisans and vendors will offer unique handcrafted items, including custom-made holiday ornaments, hand-crafted mosaic lamps, Florida-inspired art, and European holiday crafts. Whether you’re searching for a special necklace for grandma or a handmade wooden toy for a nephew, the market promises a treasure trove of holiday gifts.

Food, fun and festivity for the whole family

The European Holiday Market also offers authentic European food and drinks, provided by Oscura, featuring Bavarian pretzels, French pastries, traditional mulled wine called Glühwein, and fresh Florida oysters. Guests of all ages can enjoy a range of activities like ornament-making, photos with Santa, and live entertainment, including a performance of the original theater production “Far Way Home.”

    A must-see destination

The Bradenton Area Convention Center, having recently undergone extensive renovations and the addition of the adjoining Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa , extends the holiday market to the Yard at the Palmetto Marriott—a stunning outdoor space to enjoy central Florida’s winter beauty. The market will be open from December 4th to 8th, offering a blend of old-world magic and Gulf Coast fun for everyone.
