A Bradford County man was arrested after he allegedly got into a fight with staff at a Huston Township strip club then resisted and kicked state troopers who responded to the scene. Single vehicle crash claims life of ATV rider
Warren Township, Pa. — A 30-year-old man lost his life July 6 after his 2010 Yamaha Raptor crashed on a country road near Windham, Pa. According to PSP Towanda, Nicholas Byrne of Rome, Pa. sustained a fatal injury when his ATV failed to negotiate a left curve in the road and struck a tree on Hickeys Rocks Road, just north of Greek Road in Bradford County. The crash occurred around 10:17 p.m. Byrne struck the tree, was thrown from his ATV, and landed in a culvert ditch, police said. He sustained a fatal head injury and died at the scene. According to the police report, Byrne was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the crash. Assisting on scene were H.O.P.S. EMS, Warren Township Fire Department, Bradford County Coroner, and Suttons Towing.
Update: Tornado warning issued for Bradford County early Wednesday evening
The National Weather Service issued an updated tornado warning at 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Bradford County. "At 5:10 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near East Smithfield, or near Chemung, moving northeast at 30 mph," according to the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."
