    Dog pulled to safety after falling into abandoned storm drain in Braidwood

    BRAIDWOOD, Ill. — A dog has been safely returned to its owners after falling into an abandoned storm drain in Will County on Friday.

    Crews from the Braidwood Fire Protection District said the dog fell into an uncovered and abandoned storm drain that was in the middle of a field in Braidwood on Friday.

    In a series of photos shared by fire officials , crews can be seen working to get the dog out of the drain before it was eventually pulled to safety.

    Officials said the dog was not injured in the incident. Following the rescue, the dog was reunited with its owner.
