Warriors set to play on Hockey Day Minnesota

The Brainerd Little Falls Warriors girls hockey team is looking forward to the upcoming hockey season, especially with one of it’s games being part of Hockey Day Minnesota 2025 in Shakopee Thursday, Jan. 23.

The Varsity team will take on the Shakopee Sabers as one of the nine games played during the three-day event. The JV team will also take on the Sabers Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Hockey Day Minnesota has been a State-wide celebration for the past 19 years, started by the Minnesota Wild. The event is also produced in partnership with Bally Sports North.

The matchups during the event will consist of teams playing at the high school, college and professional levels. The last game will be the Wild hosting the Calgary Flames at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Friday, January 25.

The Warriors are also having two fundraisers before making the trip to Shakopee. The team currently has a Facebook fundraiser accepting donations until Thursday, Aug. 1. On the same day, the Warriors will host family fun bean bag tournament at the Essentia Sports Area in Brainerd, between 4-9 p.m.
