OU football's Billy Bowman Jr., Danny Stutsman named to Preseason Coaches All-SEC First Team
Oklahoma football’s Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman Jr. were named to the 2024 Preseason Coaches All-SEC First Team on Thursday. Last season, Bowman Jr. was ranked third nationally, with six interceptions and first with 238 interception return yards and three interceptions returned for touchdowns. The senior defensive back started all 13 games for OU last season and tallied 63 tackles, three tackles for loss and four pass breakups. He was also named an AP Preseason All-America Second Team pick.
Oklahoma's offense vs. Temple's defense - 'Should' be off to a good start
The Temple Owls head into the 2024 season with significant challenges on the defensive side of the ball, primarily due to the departure of key playmakers. One of the biggest losses is linebacker Jordan Magee, who has moved on to the professional ranks. Magee was a standout for the Owls in 2023, leading the team with 80 tackles and 14 tackles for loss. He also tied for the team lead with 3.5 sacks. Replacing Magee's production will be a difficult task for the Owls, as his presence was felt in both run defense and pass rush.

Tulsa SPCA Rescues Over 30 Dogs
The Tulsa SPCA says it's in serious need of donations after taking in 34 new dogs. They say this is its third large-scale rescue in just two months. Tulsa SPCA says they were contacted by a case worker assisting a client who was doing her best to take care of over 30 dogs left behind when her brother died. They say she was overwhelmed and the situation was taking a toll on her health and finances.

As I’ve gotten older, sometimes when I go to shows I wish they’d sell coffee to keep me going throughout the show. It’s been done before, Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ used to sell coffee drinks during their Summer shows, and very rare other venues have too. Obviously, it isn’t a big selling point at a show, but for me, drinking coffee and listening to music go together perfectly. Seeing a show and getting coffee during a band’s set couldn’t be better, and that is exactly what happened in McAlester, OK during Dave Hause’s set on Saturday.
