The Cape Fair Marina near Branson was forced to close on the Fourth of July because of storm damage the night before, according to a Facebook post by the marina.

"Please do not come to the marina today, July 4th. Safety is our number one concern and there is no access to the docks by land at this time," Cape Fair Marina wrote in a post at 7 a.m .

Around 11 a.m., Cape Fair Marina posted that customers are now able to access the marina's parking lot to view docks and boats, though the walkways were inaccessible due to damage. The marine was to remain closed through Saturday, according to an update posted Friday morning.

"Most of the severe damage was to A dock and J dock," the Friday update said. "J dock has a few slips and boats with damage. We will also post more pictures of damage to the marina. As for boats that were on A dock, most of the ones that were on the half that detached and flipped have been recovered. A few are being retrieved this morning. Management will be contacting annual slip customers with boat damage as soon as possible."

No staff or customers were seriously injured, though the marina currently estimates that at least 15 to 20 boats were damaged in the storm. Cape Fair Marina said in the Facebook post that they will be sending out emails to customers about the damage.

The storm also damaged a cell phone tower off Highway 76, according to the Stone County Sheriff's Office .
