Slide into summer fun! Drive-In Ministries to host Summer Fun Fest this Saturday
Sunshine, water slides and endless summer adventures to come this Saturday at the Drive-In Park with their annual Summer Fun Fest. The Fun fest is hosted by Drive-In Ministries, and it is free to the public. The event will take place on Saturday July 20th from 10 a.m. to noon, with activities geared towards kids around the ages of 3-12 at the Drive-In Park, at 1349 Old Ridge Rd. in Prattville.

Montgomery police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting that left one man dead and another injured. At about 12:35 a.m., police and fire medics went to the 3200 block of Covered Bridge Road on a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. They found Kavone Mosquera, 20, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead, she said.

Walton Theater reopens this week with kid-friendly movies
Dallas County’s only movie theater is back. After being closed for repairs for almost exactly a year, the Walton Theater returned with a “soft opening” Friday, July 12. OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) - The Opelika Fire Department is investigating a structure fire that occurred Tuesday night in Downtown Opelika.
