Marietta High School Celebrates Annual Homecoming Parade
MARIETTA — Marietta High School held their annual homecoming parade Friday, with over 20 floats passing through downtown. The parade is an annual tradition prior to the Blue Devils’ homecoming football game against the Walton High School Raiders. 19th Annual Superior Plumbing Taste of Acworth
The 19th Annual Superior Plumbing Taste of Acworth will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 12 in downtown Acworth. There will be over 150 booths featuring local restaurants and businesses from around the greater Acworth area. There will be an entertainment stage, inflatables, cold drinks, food, a dog shoe and more. There will also be a Georgia Grown Member Village featuring all items grown, caught, created and cultivated in Georgia. Over 20,000 people are expected to attend the 2024 event. Parking will be available throughout the area. Admission is free. Restaurants will be offering food samples from $1-$10. Some of the participating restaurants include 1885 Grill, Fusco’s Via Roma, Henry’s Louisiana Grill, Taces Del Chavo, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Suger Shane’s and Copeland’s of New Orleans. Safety Village Breaks Ground on Fire Prevention Classroom
The Cobb County Safety Village, in partnership with UL Research Institutes, broke ground this week on a new interactive classroom designed to educate students about fire safety.
