BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– After all the Fourth of July fun, today it was time to clean-up from the festivities.

About ten boy scouts in brazil spent the morning cleaning up Forest Park after last night’s firework show. Assistant Scout Master Rob Dispennett says there was an extra large crowd at the event. So he expected the scouts to collect about 8 to 10 bags worth of trash. He says this provides them a good opportunity to do a community service project.

“It really teaches them something about prioritizing outdoor code, which the scouts have and being clean, their outdoor manners, and I think several of them at the end of this week have learned some serious life lessons about cleaning up after themselves.” says Dispennett.

Dispennett is also with the Brazil Rotary Club and says he really appreciates everyone coming out to the fireworks show.
