Kokomo Probationary Officer Terminated, Arrested Following Investigations
An internal investigation alongside a state police investigation led to the termination and arrest of a former Kokomo Police Department probationary officer. On July 1, Kokomo Police Department Chief Douglas Stout was reportedly contacted by a separate law enforcement agency in reference to a criminal allegation that involved a probationary officer at the Kokomo Police Department, which reportedly led the administration of the department to immediately contact the Indiana State Police to investigate the allegation. According to the department, Stout and the Professional Standards Unit initiated an internal investigation alongside the report to the state police.
