A retired MMA fighter was sentenced to 25 years in prison after admitting to stabbing a man to death inside a casino hotel room in 2022.

Brian Wilkinson, 47, of Egg Harbor Township, was found naked on the floor of Room 2618 of the Ocean Casino Resort at about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23, 2022, with numerous stab wounds.

Andrew Osborne, now 36, was arrested at his home in Philadelphia three days later.

He was extradited to Atlantic County and has been in the jail since Oct. 17, 2022. He was indicted that December.

Osborne admitted to the killing in May.

He must serve at least 85 percent, or 21 years and three months, before he is eligible for parole.

When Wilkinson was found his shoes and cell phone were missing, with only a white T-shirt and a pair of underwear in the room, the affidavit states.

An investigation found that Wilkinson checked in around 7:30 the night before the killing.

Osborne and his wife checked in at 2:16 the morning of the killing to a Room 902, which was prepaid on Expedia by Colleen Osborne. It was in a different tower than Wilkinson.

The last time the victim was seen alive on video was at about 10:02 the night before the killing, as he walked to his room alone, the affidavit states.

The door to Wilkinson’s room was opened from the inside at 6:57 the morning he was killed, with the lock engaged to keep the door open, the lock interrogation report showed, according to the affidavit.

Osborne is seen in the guest elevator of the victim’s tower at 7:09 a.m., wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and gray/dark shoes, the affidavit states. He got out on Wilkinson’s floor and the door to the room was closed at 7:11 a.m.

The door opened 19 minutes later, and Osborne is seen getting on the elevator in the same jacket, but this time wearing gray shoes and pants that are consistent with what the victim was seen wearing, the affidavit states. He also was carrying a black plastic bag.

The Osbornes’ room was opened with a key at 7:35 a.m. The couple is then seen leaving Ocean 23 minutes later in a silver Hyundai Accent hatchback with a Pennsylvania plate, the affidavit states.

The 35-year-old Philadelphia man is a former mixed martial arts fighter whose last bout was in 2017, with a record of seven wins, 11 losses and a draw, according to the MMA site Tapology.

Osborne remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending his transfer to state prison.
