Man Found Dead At Breck

A man was found dead recently at Breckenridge.

According to the Summit Daily , he fell in a treed area near Duke's Run on Thursday, Feb. 1.

Summit County Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons told the Daily "there were no witnesses to the accident, but law enforcement records show the 52-year-old man from Florida was located around roughly 2 pm and later pronounced dead."

Meanwhile, another man who'd been reported missing on Jan. 25 was found dead Feb. 2, near Montezuma Road east of Keystone.

"The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Summit County Rescue Group discovered the body of Scott Walling, 33, under the snow near where he had been camping, the sheriff’s office said in a news release that afternoon," according to the Daily . "Foul play is not suspected."

Walling was well-known in the area and had sought help with his endeavors to camp out around Summit County in the winter.

"Walling had recently been experiencing medical concerns and increased challenges with his mental health," according to the Daily .
