Photo/TC Gordon By Mike Williams news@breckenridgeamerican.com The Breckenridge High School Class of 2024 was honored by friends, family and community members Friday, May 24 at the Breckenridge ISD Athletics and Fine Arts Center. BHS Principal Paul Armstrong announced the top 10%, National Honor Society members, FFA members and students who received their Lone Star degree, dual credit seniors, ACT and SAT high score recipients and industry certification recipients. Armstrong then introduced Salutatorian Violeta Gallegos, who gave a speech thanking various staff and family members for their support over the years. Valedictorian Zaea Ragle then addressed her fellow classmates, reminiscing about her years at BHS and thanking the community, her family, and God. She followed in the footsteps of her brother Keaton, who was valedictorian of the BHS Class of 2023. Interim Superintendent Prairie Freeman certified the students as graduates, before BISD board president Nic McClymond presented the students with their diplomas. News Log in to post comments
