Photo/Mike Williams By Mike Williams news@breckenridgeamerican.com With baseball and basketball youth camps completed, Breckenridge High School has two more camps remaining this summer. Softball campLady Bucks Softball Camp takes place June 24-26 in three sessions at the Lady Bucks softball field.Session one will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. for all incoming kindergarten through third grade students.  The second session will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for incoming fourth through sixth graders.The third session will follow from noon to 1:30 p.m. for incoming seventh through ninth graders.Session one costs $25 with the other two sessions costing $45. Walk-up registration will be welcome with an additional $10 charge. Campers will develop basic softball skills including fielding, throwing, hitting, bunting, base running and pitching. Head coach Cynthia Herrera requests each child bring a bat, glove, cleats and helmet, if able. Some equipment will be available for use at camp, but there may not be enough to supply each camper.Payment by cash or check can be delivered to the BHS Athletic Office or paid on the first day of camp. Checks can be made out to Lady Bucks Softball. To access the online registration form, a QR code can be scanned on the flyer posted on the Breckenridge Buckaroo Athletics Facebook page. For more information, email Herrera at cynthia.herrera@breckenridgeisd.org. Football campBuckaroo football camp will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 17 at Buckaroo Stadium. The camp will be open to incoming first through eighth graders at a cost of $20 per camper with no sibling discounts.  Led by football coaching staff, the camp will cover the fundamentals including passing, catching, ball carrying and blocking.
