Leadership La Porte County Empowers Middle School Students with Summer Leadership Camp
Leadership La Porte County proudly completed its Summer Leadership Camp for middle school students at Creek Ridge County Park. This enriching program brought together students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades from across La Porte County to develop their leadership skills and build positive character traits. Another Successful Run for LakeFest
(La Porte, IN) - Another very successful Lakefest was held over the weekend in La Porte. Among the events were two days of professional jetski racing on Stone Lake. The fourth annual LakeFest started late in the afternoon on Friday at Fox Park with a lot of fun activities like wiffle ball home run derby and a golf ball hitting contest. On the afternoon of Sunday, July 28, La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership’s (LEAP) La Porte Young Professionals (LPYP) group hosted its annual cornhole tournament. The event took place at the Beach House on the shores of La Porte’s Stone Lake. LPYP is an organization that gives young professionals from a variety of fields the opportunity to network with one another. This is the third year that the cornhole tournament has been featured as a LakeFest event. LakeFest, which is in its fourth year, is a weekend-long festival that features a wide variety of fun and exciting events like live music concerts, Nerf gun battles, car shows, and Aquacross Jet Ski races.
