The largest pharmacy chain in America is headed for some tough times. Walgreens announced last week that they would be spending the rest of 2024 "resetting" their business strategy in hopes of being more profitable in the next few years. According to CNN, part of that resetting includes closing more than 100 underperforming locations in 2024, with more likely to follow in 2025.

Celebrating Summer at Lincoln Home
We welcome the community to join us on the lawn at The Lincoln Home for a fun celebration of the 4th of July from 4:30 - 8:30pm, with premium fireworks viewing at dusk. Dance on the lawn to the fun music of The Boneheads and enjoy delicious barbecue burgers, sausages, hotdogs and veggie burgers that will be available for purchase, along with home made strawberry shortcake and ice cream. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available from Sadie the Bar Car. Kids will have fun dancing on the lawn with light up bracelets and necklaces. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the best view of the fireworks overlooking the Damariscotta River. No coolers or pets are allowed. Admission is $5 per person or $15 for a family of 4. Premium parking available for $10. The Lincoln Home, a non-profit assisted living community that supports a vibrant lifestyle for seniors, and our Lincoln County community.
