Plano Chamber of Commerce and Collin County Business Alliance (CCBA) are partnering to present the 2021 Plano Mayoral Candidate Forum on Friday, April 16. Sponsored by AT&T and moderated by Cleo Greene (WFAA), this virtual forum is free to attend and will introduce voters to the candidates, helping them to make an informed decision on Election Day.

This election will determine the successor to the city’s current mayor, Harry LaRosiliere. First elected in 2013, Mayor LaRosiliere has served in the role for two terms and is the first African American to be elected to this office.

The newly-elected mayor will be the 40th leader to hold this position. The forum will feature remarks from three candidates for the role: Lily Bao, John Muns, and Lydia Ortega.

“The partnership between the Plano Chamber and our city leadership is crucial to the continued success of our community. This forum offers our Chamber members and Plano residents the opportunity to hear first-hand from each candidate on their vision for our city. We are proud to partner with CCBA and AT&T to facilitate this event and bring this important conversation to our community,” shared Plano Chamber President & CEO Kelle Marsalis.

Early voting for the election will begin on April 19 and run through April 27. Election Day is May 1.

Attendance at this virtual event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is required by Thursday, April 15. For more information on registering, please visit planochamber.org.
