Hotel Review: Club Wyndham

Growing up, some of my most treasured memories are from traveling with my family. Whether this was to the beach, to the mountains, or even exploring everything Texas has to offer when I look back at my childhood THIS is what I remember. Fast forward to now and we are parents to a four-month-old baby! It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was a child and now I’m raising one of my own. Crazy! With this being said my husband and I have had many talks about how we want to raise our children including how we want to show them the world. We personally believe that there is so much personal development & education that happens when you experience new cities, new cultures, and new adventures – somethings that just can’t be taught from a textbook.

This past weekend we stayed at Club Wyndham Austin. This all-suite timeshare resort is located near the banks of Lake Lady Bird off of the Colorado River and just steps away from the Texas Capitol with endless entertainment on 6th Street. The ultra-modern and residentially-styled resort suites at Club Wyndham Austin are designed to make you feel right at home. Accommodations include a studio, one- or two-bedroom suite and feature separate living space in most, a washer/dryer, a balcony, and a full kitchen perfect for stocking your favorite snacks.

With all the changes that travel has gone through (especially during this past year) and now having a baby of our own, we appreciate the extra space to really feel at home when traveling! The separate sleeping quarters to allow baby Remi to have a nap yet we can hang out in the living room was a total win. And let us not forget about how important a washer and dryer is when we know miss Remi is going to go through 3 outfits a day and probably have a blowout haha!

Upon checking in to Club Wyndham Austin we were greeted by an exceptionally welcoming staff who was there to make sure everything was taken care of. When we got to our apartment-style suite we were shocked by the size of it! One can always tell you how large it is going to be but until you see it for yourself it just doesn’t seem to register. The full kitchen, full-size fridge, dining area, living area, and bedroom made us feel right at home! Thanks to the rigorous cleaning protocols implemented at all Club Wyndham Resorts through the Vacation Ready Program we were able to enjoy this suite with peace of mind that everything was well cleaned too.

One of the first things that I noticed about our apartment-style suite was the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking downtown Austin. I mean, check out this view!

With two full walls of windows in the sleeping quarters, we had jaw-dropping views of downtown Austin on one side and the Texas Capitol building on the other. That in itself was a memory in the making!

After we got all settled into our room it was time to explore the property! The resort amenities included an outdoor zero-edge infinity pool and rooftop sun deck, plus a fitness center, a game room, and beautiful barbecue areas. My personal favorite was the rooftop sun deck! This artificial turf area located on the 10th floor was so fun to be able to relax outside but also be rooftop looking out into the city!
